WSET Level 2 wine course: an OFQUAL certified wine course

Do the Wine Spirit Education Trust Level 2 Certificate in Wine with Caro Feely, certified wine educator, published author and winemaker at French Wine Adventures Wine School at Chateau Feely, a working organic vineyard in Saussignac near Bordeaux and Bergerac on the border of the Dordogne, the Gironde and the Lot et Garonne.

The WSET level 2 wine course is essential to anyone wanting to understand more about wine and how to taste wine in a structured manner. It is also an important qualification for working or wanting to work in wine or hospitality or a related industry.

On the course you will discover international wines & learn more than you imagine possible in such a short time: wset_level2_chateau_feelythe major grape varieties, wine styles from the key wine producing countries of the world, the main spirits categories and understand the factors that influence the style, quality and price of wine. You will taste more than 40 wines from around the world and learn how to assess them and what to expect from different appellations and styles.

The course including your study pack and text book, exam on the 3rd day, wines tasted (including grand cru classés) and lunches on all three days is 696.40 euro HT (800 euro TTC) excluding accommodation (accommodation on site 145 euro for two sharing with organic breakfast or 130 euro for a single with breakfast or we can propose a B&B nearby). WSET provides training in wine for professionals and consumers who wish to enhance their wine knowledge and gain a formal qualification. WSET courses and exams are recognised as the benchmark for wine education throughout the world and are offered in 41 different countries, adjudicated by WSET in London and part of their internationally recognised programme.

We offer an optional day before the course starts that adds 99 euro to the course fees. This is important preparation especially if you haven’t done level 1. It is imperative to study in advance for this course so signing up at least 2 months before the course starts is Album_144recommended. For level 2 we do 18 hours classroom and you need min 28 hours study to pass so at least 10 hours pre-reading/ study is recommended – reading the text book in depth three times should do it.

This is a personal and intimate version of the WSET level 2 wine course on a working organic wine farm with vineyard and winery a few steps from your class room.

All our wine classes are held at Chateau Feely in South West France, 1 hour from Bordeaux, 15 minutes from Bergerac airport, 50 minutes from Libourne TGV station.
