Cette ann\u00e9e, nous avons commenc\u00e9 1 semaine plus t\u00f4t que les ann\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes et nous avons termin\u00e9 1 semaine avant \u00e9galement. le mot \u00ab\u00a0tourbillon\u00a0\u00bb est celui qui d\u00e9crit le mieux ces vendanges.

La photo ci-dessous est celle du d\u00e9part! Le merlot pour le Feely ros\u00e9 p\u00e9tillant M\u00e9thode Traditionnelle brut.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nous avons d\u00e9but\u00e9 les vendanges le 24 ao\u00fbt et elles ont pris fin le 11 septembre.

L’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, nous avions commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin du mois d’ao\u00fbt et termin\u00e9 le 21 septembre. Notre toute premi\u00e8re vendange en 2006 avait commenc\u00e9 le 21 septembre jusqu’\u00e0 la deuxi\u00e8me semaine d’octobre.
<\/p>\n

Il n’y a pas de doute que le r\u00e9chauffement climatique<\/a><\/strong> affecte nos vignes, nos vendanges et nos vins.
<\/p>\n

Notre petite mais excellente \u00e9quipe de vendangeurs – Vincent, In\u00e8s, Barak et Caro – \u00e9tait compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par Sophia et Ellie qui \u00e9taient encore en vacances et qui souhaiteraient que leurs parents ne soient pas vignerons, puisque leurs grasses matin\u00e9es disparaissaient aussi rapidement que la brume du matin lors d’une belle journ\u00e9e ensoleill\u00e9e.

Barak, \u00e0 gauche de la remorque dans la photo ci-dessus, a remport\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0la grappe du jour\u00a0\u00bb, un magnifique merlot d’un bleu-violet vif.
<\/p>\n

Il n’\u00e9tait pas possible de s’arr\u00eater puisque les maturations acc\u00e9l\u00e9raient \u00e0 un rythme effrayant \u00e0 cause des chaleurs et vents secs. Nous avions progress\u00e9 sur les Sauvignon Blanc durant la m\u00eame semaine.

A peine le souffle repris, le s\u00e9millon nous attendait la semaine suivante puis la partie restante du merlot pour les vins rouges secs. Elodie et Jamie nous ont rejoint \u00e0 ce moment l\u00e0 et nous avons carbur\u00e9 avec notre petite \u00e9quipe de 6 personnes, en gardant les m\u00eames duos ainsi qu’un m\u00e8tre et demi de distance entre nous. La nature nous accueillait avec de magnifiques levers de soleil.

Les vendanges ne se terminent pas avec la cueillette. A partir de ce moment-l\u00e0, le travail au chai s’intensifie, mais aussi beaucoup de nettoyage des \u00e9quipements.
<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre \u00e9quipe fantastique, nous avons de tr\u00e8s heureux souvenirs de ces vendanges 2020, du rire et des vins excellents. Nous avons h\u00e2te de vous faire partager ces vins dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir.
