with Sean and Caro Feely

Volunteer with Caro and Sean for 12 days - early to mid April

We are looking for volunteers - couples or 2 people that are close enough to share a room and bathroom or solos - to help Caro and Sean Feely on their home for 4 to 17 April. We would love to welcome you in Saussignac! If you know someone who would appreciate this opportunity please pass this info on with the share button. If you are keen to join us but cant make these dates - join the mailing list - we will be looking for volunteers in September too. 🙂

Volunteers have no costs once they arrive - we provide board and lodging. In exchange we request around 6 hours a day on weekdays of participation in maintenance (painting/ gardening/ weeding) in our personal home and gardens.

We are looking for people who are self starters and can operate independently, who are not afraid of physical activity and being outside and who ideally have some DIY experience (unfortunately we don't receive children for volunteer weeks). Most of this period we will be painting. We are organic and we want to share this way of living with people who have a willingness and eagerness to learn and to participate in what we do.

We take turns to cook for the group – good organic food, including delicious vegetables direct from the garden. We eat a lot of vegetarian but not exclusively.

What we offer

-Collection and return to Gardonne station

- accommodation in a bedroom in our home and three meals a day

- sharing ideas of organic living, gardening and self sufficiency - and an opportunity to learn a little about wine too 😉

-a yoga session with Caro for those who wish to discover or to practice yoga

Keen to join us?

Send us an email with some info about yourself. We have a maximum of 4 places for this volunteer period.

Details of where we are

We are on the edge of Saussignac village, about 1 hour east of Bordeaux in the Dordogne in South West France. The nearest train station is Gardonne (see www.sncf.fr ). We offer collection from there. Saussignac village is small and has a post office and a restaurant. Gardonne (15 mins on the bike / 4kms) has more facilities (shops, bank, restaurants, bar hotel etc).

What to bring / other info

Please bring waterproof clothing and boots; outdoor clothes (clothes that you don’t mind getting paint stains on);  gear for rainy/cold and warmer weather (April is fickle). Please make sure that you have comprehensive health and travel insurance.
