What is Hatha Vinyasa Yoga?
Hatha yoga is yoga where poses are held for several breaths. Vinyasa yoga is yoga where the movement follows the breath so we change poses more often. We offer a slow vinyasa practice with some poses held longer in the hatha style hence the term Hatha Vinyasa.
What is Restorative Yoga?
Restorative yoga is relaxing and calm. After gentle stretching we move into a series of restorative yoga poses and stay in each of these poses for anything from 5 to 20 minutes. This is a calming form of yoga that generates profound rest and deep relaxation.
What is Mindful Wine Tasting?
In mindful wine tasting we take time to concentrate our senses, let go of our other thoughts and be totally focused on the wine. Its almost like getting into meditation. This is why yoga can help to prepare for mindful wine tasting. Yoga prepares the mind for meditation and this is exactly what we need to be prepared for mindful wine-tasting.
Is this retreat suitable for beginners?
Yes, our gentle yoga is suitable for beginners and for those who already practice or have practiced yoga but not recommended for anyone that has difficulty walking or significant health problems. You are the best judge of what is possible for you. Only do what feels good for you and your body.
