Stroll the gentle slopes of the Dordogne organic vineyard at Chateau Feely. Awaken your senses as Caro Feely, winemaker, author, accredited wine educator, and organic farming expert, leads you through a tasting of the vineyard’s different terroirs. A pairing platter of organic seasonal foods that showcase some of France’s culinary traditions are expertly paired with the wines. Explore your favorite notes then soak in the tranquility of the vineyard over chocolate, tea, and coffee. Artisanal Dordogne fare and wine await, a celebration of delicious authentic food and wine, and joie de vivre.
This tour includes the Two Hour Discovery Tour in the morning (vineyard visit and initiation to wine tasting) and adds a delicious wine and food pairing platter and an introduction to wine and food pairing. The pairing is an opportunity to discuss the principles of wine and food pairing and to experience these principles in practice. Two digital pocket guides that include ready reckoners to help you recognise varietals, age of wine, and well-known appellations; and wine and food pairing are provided with this tour. *We can can cater to special needs like gluten free, vegan, dairy free if notified on booking. Feely wines are all vegan friendly.

All our activities are held at Feely organic vineyard in South West France, 1 hour 30 mins from Bordeaux city, 10 mins from Ste Foy La Grande, 15 mins from Bergerac. EXAMPLE FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS (changes with the season and availability)
Feely Sincerité, a zesty pure sauvignon blanc grown on limestone with fresh citrus flavours and minerality or Feely Brut Rosé is paired with goats cheese and a red pepper tapenade. Feely Générosité a dry barrel aged sémillon with notes of vanilla, apple pie and apricot compote or Feely Orange Wine Mille Fleurs – is paired with a courgette curry or a beet and horse radish tapenade and camembert. Feely La Source, a Merlot Cab Sauv blend aged in oak with a touch of smoke and minerality from flint and limestone or Feely Resonance, a pure Merlot, is paired with black olive tapenade and comté. Sometimes we have Feely Grâce, or Feely a Merlot Cabernet sauvignon blend 100% barrel aged or Feely Vérité a pure Cabernet sauvigon no sulfites added natural wine for this pairing. Saussignac dessert wine with Roquefort and apple.
Guests continue the pairing voyage with 2 Bovetti organic chocolates also produced in the Périgord and organic coffee or tea or fresh mint tea from the Feely potager.
