Volunteer for Caro and Sean for 2 weeks – early to mid June
We are looking for 2 people that are close enough to share a room and bathroom to volunteer for the next 2 weeks ideally June 2 to June 16 2021.
If you are looking to volunteer with us in normal years (outside covid) we typically take volunteers in low season March April and then for harvest first 2 weeks of September.
We are looking for a ‘can do’ couple or 2 friends or family members that are part of the same ‘bubble’ and close enough to share a bathroom and that are already in France.

Volunteers have no costs once they arrive and in exchange we request 6 hours of participation in maintenance (painting/ gardening/ weeding / projects) a day on weekdays.
We take turns to cook for the group – good organic food, including delicious vegetables direct from the garden.
We are looking for people who are self starters and can operate independently, who are not afraid of physical activity and being outside and who ideally have some DIY experience (unfortunately we don’t receive children for volunteer weeks). We are organic and biodynamic and we want to share this way of living with people who have a willingness and eagerness to learn and to participate in what we do. This is a no wimps zone. If you are unable to remove a spider from your bedroom Feely farmhouse is not for you. Everyone has a turn to do meal preparation and cleaning up. If this is new to you try to learn a simple recipe that you can cook for the group before you come to us. We eat a lot of vegetarian but not exclusively.

Details of where we are
We are on the edge of Saussignac village, 1 hour 15 mins drive east of Bordeaux in South West France. The nearest train station is Gardonne (see www.sncf.fr ). We can collect from there. Saussignac village is small and has a post office and a restaurant. Gardonne (15 mins on the bike / 4kms) has more facilities (shops, bank, restaurants, bar hotel etc).
What to bring / other info
Please bring waterproof clothing and boots; outdoor clothes (clothes that you don’t mind getting paint stains on); gear for hot weather and good gloves. Please make sure that you have adequate health and travel insurance for your planned travel.
House notes
- We expect volunteers to keep their accommodation in good order as they found it.
- No smoking.
