Storytelling and writing
This harvest season Aoife, of Kitchen Sink Stories hosted a story telling night for gite guests and the home team. It was so much fun.
We have a tradition of reading a short story we have written specially for the evening on Christmas Eve. It started the series of Gims and Leah cat stories (Story 1 and Story 2, watch this space – Story 3 will be published on the Feely blog on Stephen’s day (26 Dec 2022) and shared on social media (not before – I can’t let the cat out of the bag 😉 he he).
Storytelling can happen naturally around the table or beside the fire (perhaps with a glass of fine Feely wine beside you 🙂 ) but it can also be encouraged. Aoife gave us a prompt. ‘It was a real story that happened to you and included travel’.
Do you include story telling opportunities in your holidays? How do you include space for freedom, creativity and sharing in family/ friend gatherings?
Share your ideas in the comments below. We would love to hear from you. 🙂
