They're back! Yay! New Releases: Sincerity, Flint, Sensuality, Resonance and Grace
On April 5, 2019, we are launching the new vintages! Sincerity, Flint, Sensuality, Resonance and Grace are back!
Sincerity 2018: 100% sorganic biodynamic white auvignon
The 2018 Sincerity vintage is a classic, it is fresh and delicious. This reminds us of the one in 2016 (rating of 17/20 by JancisRobinson). By the time we got the reviews for the 2016 vintage, it was already sold out. Grab this one while it's still there. You can order at the Boutique.
Silex 2017: 100% sÉmillon organic, biodynamic
Silex has not been in stock for a long time. This latest edition has notes of pear, citrus and a hint of stone smoke and offers a long finish on the palate. As you would expect from the semillon, it has a nice smooth texture. This wine pairs beautifully with slightly spicy dishes such as a korma or a light Thai green curry.
Sensuality 2018: refreshing organic rosé
Sensualité 2018 rosé has aromas of strawberry and quince, an invigorating and refreshing attack with a fruity finish. It's perfect on its own or can be paired with vegan or vegetarian couscous dishes with lamb. This vintage is fresh and tart enough to pair with fish and seafood. It is made from certified biodynamic grapes and is a certified organic wine (it is not a certified biodynamic wine, as we used certified organic yeast rather than native yeast for fermentation. In 2016, our rosé, fermented with native yeast, did not complete its fermentation. We need rosé at all costs, so we decided not to take any chances - all our other wines fermented with indigenous yeasts). The sulphite content is within biodynamic and natural standards and we have not used any other additives or tools in winemaking.
Résonance 2017: a delicious natural, biodynamic medium-bodied Merlot Rouge
If you prefer a slightly tannic red that is less full-bodied than our traditional full-bodied tannic wines, then Résonance 2017 is for you. It is a delicious blend of aromas of red and black fruits, cherries and forest fruits, complex and long in the mouth. The alcohol is just above 13%, it is not a light red in alcohol but it has a light body. We love this Résonance wine, it is one of the best of this cuvée that Sean Feely has made. We hope you enjoy it too.
The Source 2016: Another Source of Power
We still have some of La Source 2015 available, so we recommend this vintage rather than the 2016 one, it is easier to drink for the moment. La Source 2016 is also full-bodied and worthy of age. Our La Source is traditionally a "St Emilion style" blend made up of 80th% dMerlot and 20th% dCabernet Sauvignon/Franc. It is an organic, biodynamic and natural wine 100% aged in barrels.
Grace 2014: a complex and rich organic biodynamic wine
Grace 2014 is a complex, rich and pleasant blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a full-bodied red wine, full of aromas of black fruit, plum and blackberry, and which begins to evolve towards notes of truffles and undergrowth. On the palate, it offers flavours of black fruit and a touch of truffle. It is full-bodied, medium tannins; medium acidity and offers a long finish in the mouth.
Conclusion
These latest publications are based on the constant improvement of the quality of the wines thanks to the health of the vineyard from organic and biodynamic farming at Château Feely. We look forward to sharing them with you. Order yours online at the Feely Wines Online Store where you can order by the bottle and then add the delivery fee at the end.
To bottle, so many factors have to converge to form a perfect dance that it seems impossible to finalize. Fingers crossed that this week goes as well as last year.
Come and learn more about organic farming by visiting Château Feely in the South-West of France or stay with us. You can read about the history of our organic farm. The series includes three Grape Expectations books; Saving our Skins and Glass Half Full by Caro Feely.
