Dandelion Festival

Plants are our passion. Dandelions are a favourite. The bright happy yellow of the flowers, the unbearable lightness of being of their perfect rounds puffs of seeds.

Certain gardeners may be anti them but we love them.

Dandelion is one of the plants 506 – Dandelion – Flowers of Taraxacum officinale  used to create biodynamic compost. 

Dandelions (dent de lion/ lions teeth after the leaves from the French words) or pissenlit (pee in bed in french after the fact that it is a diuretic).

The young leaves can be delicious in salads.

That seed puff takes us all back to childhood blowing the seeds off into the breeze helping the dandelion to spread its progeny.
